My wife and I dated 7 years before our wedding last September.

We just take our time with this stuff. Life is long, why the hurry? There won't be any offspring though, she had a bad childhood and I just plain don't want any kids cause let me tell you being smarter than average is rage-inducing and the kid would probably inherit that.

So many people our age though marry after only a few months together and then end up with disaster and multiple kids on the ground that are conflicted over which house is their real home.

I know to most people is a very short amount of time. I am not saying that from an outside perspective that it doesn't look rushed. But I knew not long after we met that she was who I was going to spend my life with. Maybe we are crazy, but I am willing to take that chance. And I disagree, life is short and can be snatched away from you at any time without a moments notice. So you have to give it all you got, and if it goes wrong then at least you can say it wasn't because you didn't try.
